Great Spreadwing Damselfly Archilestes grandis

This is one big-ass damselfly. Of note is the prominent yellow racing stripe on the thorax, reminiscent of the moto-suit as worn by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, Vol. 1.

It's easy, even for hacks like the Twisty Odonata Department, to differentiate at a glance between damselflies and dragonflies: the former sort of pull their wings in when they perch, whereas the latter hold theirs out at a 90 degree angle.
